Why is this important?

  • Organizational Objectives are aligned with the National Defense Strategy. This helps in creating a strategic roadmap that guides decision-making at all levels, ensuring that every component of the organization is working towards common objectives that contribute to the broader national defense goals.

  • The National Defense Strategy provides a top-level strategic framework outlining the priorities and goals for national security. Ensuring alignment with the NDS helps organizations focus their efforts on objectives that are directly linked to the broader national defense priorities.

  • Organizations that regularly assess and align their objectives with the NDS are better positioned to adapt to evolving security challenges. This adaptability enhances the organization's responsiveness to emerging threats and changing strategic priorities.

  • Performance and Impact goals are linked to specific objectives to track the overall effectiveness of the organization.
