Your Contracting Profile is your organization’s central identity inside Raise. Because Raise uses deep capital intelligence rather than simple keyword matching, the quality and completeness of your profile directly determine the accuracy of your funding matches.
By building a complete profile, you unlock Raise’s AI match analysis and position your team to pivot from a reactive posture to a proactive, winning strategy. This guide covers how to build your profile step-by-step to achieve a 100/100 Profile Strength.
Creating a Profile: The Initial Setup
To initiate a new profile, click + New profile to open the creation modal. You will supply the following four foundational details:
Organization Name
Industry (Select from dropdown)
Optimizing Your Profile Strength (Reaching 100/100)
Once your profile is created, you will be taken to the profile editing workspace. Raise tracks your completion progress via a Profile Strength widget on the bottom of each contracting profile, which aggregates points across five core sections of your profile dashboard.
To achieve a perfect 100/100 score, complete the following sections:
1. Organization Details (40 Points)
Click Edit on the right side of the Organization card to populate your core corporate footprint. This block maps out:
Legal Name, Address, and Website
UEI (Unique Entity ID) - Your UEI is the single most important identifier for verifying eligibility for federal grants, SBIRs, and OTAs
EIN (Employer Identification Number): Your standard federal tax identifier.
Industry & Business Type
Business Size
DUNS (Legacy corporate data tracking)
City & State
Website
Description: A clear, text-based overview of your organization’s core business.
2. SAM.gov Registration (10 Points)
This section verifies your standing to receive federal funds. Add your SAM UEI number directly to link your official government registration details.
💡 Note on Award History: Successfully linking your SAM UEI automatically unlocks the Award History module at the bottom of your profile, instantly pulling your past historical contracts, tracking agencies, contract numbers, and total values directly into Raise.
💡 Obtaining a UEI: In order to receive funding from the government companies are required to register for a UEI. Click here to register for a UEI!
3. Certifications (Socioeconomic & Industry)
Click + Add in the Certifications block to open the Manage Certifications modal. Check all socio-economic designations and institutional certifications your organization holds.
4. NAICS Codes (10 Points)

You must add at least one North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to your profile so Raise knows your precise technical and industrial scope.
5. Key Personnel (20 Points)
Human capital is critical to winning grants and contracts. Click + Add person to map out your Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
AI Resume Parsing: To speed up setup, drag and drop a PDF resume (10MB maximum) into the upload area. Raise’s built-in AI will automatically parse the document and auto-fill the details.
Manual Entry Fields: You can review or manually enter:
First Name, Last Name, and Email
Phone, Job Title, and Expertise Narrative
Skills & Certifications (managed via interactive tag fields)
Clearance Level & Status (Dropdown selections, e.g., Uncleared / Active)

6. Capabilities & Products/Services (20 Points)
A product or service represents the technical innovation or solution you want to secure capital for. Under this section, you can add a high-level Capabilities Narrative and use the + Add button to create specific technical offerings.
In the Add Product/Service modal, complete the following:
Name & Type: Define your listing and designate it as a Product or Service.
Description & Primary Problem Solved: Provide a technical overview and explain the core operational or commercial pain point your technology solves.
End Users: Identify the target operators, commercial buyers, or government agencies who use this tech.

Intellectual Property (IP): Document patents, trade secrets, or data rights.
NAICS Inheritance: Check the box to Inherit profile NAICS codes to instantly bind your organizational industry codes to this product line.
PSC Code: Click add PSC codes. You can search by a keyword or save your product and then when you return to edit you can click the Suggest PSC box and it will provide recommendations for PSC codes.
Attached Documents: Use the + Upload utility to attach supporting technical white papers, capability statements, or pitch decks.
