Show users what data is public and private on an initiative

By explaining via the UI what data is masked from who will help allay some of those fears (not all of them, but that’s the hard work of culture change for you). Only people who are explicitly allowed to be involved in the fullest sense actually have the full picture and the ability to directly interact via the initiative page (rather than other tools that carry with them an expectation of professionalism, like email), which for many builds comfort and a sense of safety.
